As a result, it is shown that, in the short run, the advanced wage can continue to be below its initial value when the new technology with the machine is introduced, while, in the long run, it can continue to exceed the initial value. Thus Ricardo's argument can hold: An introduction of new technology with the machinery is injurious to workers in the short run, but beneficial in the long run.},
